Been Playing Some Simcity Societies

Even though Simcity Societies was completely different and, should I say, a bit more simplistic than other Simcity games, I still couldn’t help but feel that it had a certain charm to it.

One of the things that I absolutely loved from the game was the fact that your cities could become a certain ‘style’, whether it be 1984-style Authoritarian (my absolute favorite to do) or the spooky Haunted town.

Since I’ve recently become interested in Cyberpunk and I want to pass the time before the new Simcity comes out this march, I set out to make a Cyberpunk-style city.

Being the creative guru that I am </sarcasm>, I named my city ‘Utopia’.

Five hours of plopping down buildings here and there and suddenly I have a city of over 75,000 people.

The poorer district of Utopia, but each citizen is equally happy! ignore the trash on the sidewalks

The Industrial District, with a sentinel taking a tired citizen dissenter back to work. (would you believe that the sentinel had been ‘escorting’ that worker all the way from the other side of town? I built subways for a reason…)

Apparently there are plenty of vigilantes wandering the streets in the industrial and poor districts, so I never bothered to place a police station around those places, seeing as the work is being done for free!

See? And what police?

Besides, everyone is safe in Utopia, for the secret police are always vigilant! for possible threats to the all-powerful corporations
